Summer 2018. Migrant control centre at Pozzallo, in the south of Sicily, Italy. A police officer must take the fingerprints of migrants and interview them. Invited to take part in the scene, the participants find themselves at the centre of the interrogation. Translator, mediator, confident, what is their role? They will be witnesses to a tumultuous scene.
Hotspot is a skillful mix of participatory theatre and virtual reality. This situation, inspired by actual migrant stories, allows participants to embed themselves directly into the paradigm of the other, that other that is perhaps ourselves.
