A propos du project
Based on Nick Abadzis’ iconic graphic novel and brought to life by BAFTA and Academy Award winning director Asif Kapadia, LAIKA is an immersive animated virtual reality short telling the extraordinary story of the first living creature to orbit the earth.
In 1957, Laika was the historic passenger aboard the Soviet satellite Sputnik II, only the second such vehicle to be launched into space. Sputniks I and II heralded the space race and the age of information we now live in. How did a small stray dog get caught up in such a pivotal moment in human history? LAIKA in VR brings this incredible tale to a new platform that will allow the audience to witness her momentous journey.
