NewImages Festival is looking forward to welcoming you in 1 week in Paris at the Forum des images ! 

NewImages Festival is holding its Industry Days: 3 days entirely dedicated to professionals, students and talents from around the world. The players in the sector will gather around 40 conferences and workshops to discover the best of immersive creation. 

The goal of the Industry Days is to encourage synergies between different creative fields while promoting meetings between and with the players of the digital creation industry.

INDUSTRY DAYS

Starting from the 1st day of the Industry Days, discover cultural institutions such as the Society for Arts & Technologies [SAT] as well as our partners CLIC Club Innovation & Culture, IAMAG or PXN, invited to discuss creation and technological innovation! You will find on the program, among others:

WORKSHOP

GENERATIVE AIS (GENAI), INEVITABLE FUTURE OF CGI, ANIMATIOIN & VFX?

MidJourney, DALL-E, Stable Diffusion, ChatGPT, Gen-1, ElevenLabs!… Generative AI tools (GenAI) are having a Cambrian explosion moment now, and an exponential growth both in quantity and quantity. Are they already relevant for audio-visual professionals and does they change animation, VFX and movie-making industries forever? Dada! Animation, a Parisian CGI studio focused on new technologies such as real time and AI will comment on a timeline and state-of -the-art of GenAI, and will share some of its own experiments about it.

VOLVER A CASA

This transmedia work that includes a VR short film, a feature-length documentary, a film series, and virtual reality workshops in Chilean prisons, realizes the extraordinary immersive audiovisual experience of taking inmates who are deprived of their freedom back to their homes and giving them the feeling of meeting with their families, spaces and territories. 

This work was the winner of Mediamorfosis 2018.

REALITIES BEYOND LIMITS: EXPLORING REPRESENTATION IN XR

Technologies and inclusive practices can be used to create more inclusive and representative virtual environments. Topics will include representation of different genders, races, abilities, and sexual orientations and how to create immersive experiences that go beyond the limits of the physical world and represent a more diverse reality.
