XR Competition selection unveiled

For this new edition, more than 130 projects have been presented to us to be part of this official selection. After several weeks of discovery, 16 digital projects will compete for the XR Competition. 

Affirming a little more the festival’s determination to open up and introduce XR to an increasingly larger and curious public, the competition this year includes a category for virtual reality works and a category for augmented reality works. 

This diverse and exciting selection will be on display during the festival from 23rd to 27th September at the Forum des Images and also online. 

The jury will award three prizes at the closing ceremony: the Golden Mask (€6,000) and the Special Jury Prize (€3,000) for two virtual reality experiences. A Special Jury Prize (€3,000) will also be awarded for the best work in augmented reality.
