Call for Projects: Farnese – Medici XR Residency 2025
The call for projects dedicated to immersive creation for the 2025 edition of the Farnese – Medici XR Residency in Rome has been launched!
Are you a creator of immersive experiences? Are you developing an XR project in French production or co-production? Don’t miss this unique opportunity to join one of Europe’s most prestigious residencies at the Villa Medici in Rome.

This exceptional program, created in partnership with NewImages Hub, the Embassy of France in Italy, the Institut français Italia, the French Academy in Rome – Villa Medici, Rai Cinema, and Videocittà, offers the selected participants:
- A one-month immersion at Villa Medici (from October 1st to 29th, 2025), including accommodation.
- The opportunity to participate in local events and meet XR industry professionals in Italy.
- A €6,000 grant for project development.
- Acquisition of a 360° version of the project by Rai Cinema.
- A project showcase at the NewImages Festival 2026.
Applications Open Until March 15th, 2025
