Since March 2015, Thomas Opsital has been the official organist at the Church of Saint-Eustache, in Paris. The following year, he became the first organist-in-residence at Radio France’s auditorium. This work led him to collaborate on a regular basis with Radio France’s various musical ensembles and take part in communication initiatives to raise public awareness about the instrument.
A concert performer, he has played in France and abroad, as a soloist and with chamber ensembles and symphony orchestras. Improvisation is an essential component of his musical practice. He is keen to preserve the art of organ playing in all its forms, and plays the accompaniment to silent film screenings.
