2021 Taiwan XR Residency
Our creation residency is renewed for the 3rd year in a row, including some new features! The program takes the name of Taiwan XR Residency and will from now on be open to all extended realities.

UPDATE — During the award ceremony on Friday June 11, 2021, at the end of the Industry Days, Mathieu Pradat was named as the winner of the Taiwan XR Residency 2021 for his project “ENCOUNTERS”!
As usual, the residency will offer a French creator or a creator residing in France a unique experience to develop his/her project, in close cooperation with Taiwanese professionals, as well as local technical crews and production companies.
Next Taiwan XR Residency will be held in Kaohsiung (Taiwan) in 2022. During the six to eight weeks of residency in Kaohsiung, the selected creator will be provided with (among other things):
- an endowment of €10,000
- round-trip flight ticket to Taiwan, accommodation, workspace and a daily allowance
- personalized support and coaching, mentoring sessions with experts
- connections with local XR ecosystem
At the end of the residency, the selected creator must have developed at least a production-ready prototype to be showcased at NewImages Festival and Kaohsiung Film Festival.
